This is a simple tool to help us be more intentional about sharing Christ with people we know.
After Jesus delivers a man from demonic oppression, a fascinating interaction transpires.
As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”
Mark 5:18,19
Instead of letting the man join Jesus' band of followers, he sends him to his previously existing relational network.
Other examples of people sharing with their relational networks are:
· Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10)
· the woman at the well (John 4:1-42)
· Cornelius (Acts 10)
· Lydia (Acts 16:11-15)
· the Philippian jailor (Acts 16:25-34)
TOOL
PRAY ABOUT who are the top five people in your life that you would like to see come to faith in Christ. Designate one person for each finger of your hand.
MAKE A PRAYER LIST of those five people and regularly ask Jesus to open their eyes and for opportunities to share with them.
ASK THE LORD who is the first one you should share with and then act on that.
